Last summer (2025) I rode 15,000 kms to The Pamir Highway, I was looking for extremes,
I got more than I expected.

The Blurb
Past trips are calling, dots need joining, then the author goes off track, against the flow and the algorithm of the adventure-app travellers. Ride with this weary and rebellious road warrior back in time, with maps and aptitude.
What to expect? No idea, that’s the point, from Eastern Europe to the stans and the Pamir Highway. Into a feral world where dormant survival instincts stir. The journey will be in tents, riding alongside border fences, pushed luck, pulled by police, frozen altitude, furnace cities, empty spaces and unpopulated places, where the wild roam with no signal.
While the planet’s populus scrolls, the author looks for a balance, dropping out, riding high and reaping rewards reserved for those who look beyond the screen.
Things may have changed but one fact remains: the planet’s people, regardless of what notorious traits they are said to possess, all have faces that can form smiles, and that’s a reminder we are not so very different from each other.
